About the ADDP
Mission Statement
The mission of the ADDP is to promote and ensure the strength of the community-based member organizations it serves. The ADDP is committed to enhancing the political and financial health of member organizations that care for people with disabilities, including developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries, and their families.
The ADDP strives to:- Promote the need for sufficient funding of members in order to secure the resources necessary to provide a quality and stable environment for their consumers.
- Share effective practices among members in order to promote high standards of care and services for all individuals.
- Inform the public of the many invaluable contributions made to a community by its members and their consumers.
- Raise salaries for its members' workforce and establish fair rates system wide.
- Create an environment where members are able to provide supportive communities where consumers live with independence and dignity
Our Membership
The Association consists of 105 community organizations from across Massachusetts that provide services and supports to more than 32,000 people with mental retardation, other developmental disabilities, or traumatic brain injuries. The membership of the Association holds more than 85 percent of the Department of Mental Retardation's community residential, day and family support contracts. Members also provide Medicaid-funded day habilitation services and Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission-funded supports.
