The Director of Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) and Respite Services is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary and business operations of the CCS and Respite services. This involves oversight of a fast-paced environment; coordinating admissions and discharges across 24 hours and multiple funders in both site based and mobile settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-going evaluation of the program’s treatment philosophy. Assign and monitor scheduling of staff to ensure efficiency of client contact, program coverage, and budget compliance.
  • Uphold in all areas of work the philosophy of the Advocates Way and the Intentional Care Standards while serving people at the program.
  • Coordinate systems around 24-hour admissions and discharges, site based and mobile services.
  • Responsible for outreach and relationship building with area crisis teams and hospitals to promote increased bed utilization.
  • Create systems to monitor and gather data for utilization management.
  • Manage and streamline administrative processes and requirements in consultation with affiliated senior managers or designees including but not limited to Fiscal Services, Human Resources, Information Services, Housing, and Maintenance functions.
  • Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and training to perform duties adequately.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation through 24-hour availability for consultation and emergency crisis intervention.
  • Ensure that regular supervisions and performance evaluations are conducted for all non-medical staff at Respite/CCS program as well as oversight of the Nursing Manager and Nursing staff.
  • Ensure that the clinical integrity of program and services are maintained.
  • Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.
  • Ensure timely access to services by conducting or assigning intakes.
  • Responsible for training and oversight of staff’s paperwork which includes Individual Action Plan (IAP), Comprehensive Assessment (CA), Crisis Plans, Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), Relapse Prevention Plans and shift notes.
  • Prepare service reports to include, program census, utilization as directed, including data collection and analysis.
  • Attend all administrative meetings with DMH, MBHP, internal crisis teams, and funders as they occur.
  • Responsible for monthly submission of client census by the Agency and Division established deadlines.
  • Responsible for overall fiscal responsibility for the site; including the safeguarding of client’s monetary funds and meeting program budgetary expectations. Assist in development of program budget.
  • Successful oversight of all billing for services.
  • Ensure all reporting, notes and billing submissions are completed by the Agency and Division deadlines.
  • Ensure that client’s rehabilitative treatment and clinical record meet funding standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services with Clinical License and 3 years’ experience. Experience with Crisis Stabilization Services preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills, ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to effectively mentor and manage others.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
  • Proven ability to delegate, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and access to an operational and insured vehicle.
  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
