Director of Human Resources - The Arc of Greater Plymouth - Plymouth, MA

The Arc of Greater Plymouth is seeking a Director of Human Resources to guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resource services, policies, and programs for the agency. They will also ensure all regulatory obligations are met as the Compliance Officer for the Agency. The Director is a member of the Senior Leadership team and will be a strategic thought-partner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Coordinate and lead payroll, compensation and benefits administration
•In conjunction with Program Management manage employee relations, services and corrective counseling
•Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development
•Partner with Program Directors to recruit and staff their departments
•Conduct employee orientation and development as assigned
•Develop and track performance management and improvement systems
•Ensure and implement policy development and documentation; organizational development and succession planning
•Resolve employment and compliance regulatory concerns
•Complete all vetting process for New Hired employees and Independent Contractors
•Ensure employee safety, welfare, wellness and health are a priority

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
•Proven organizational and effective time management skills.
•Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
•Proven success developing positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
•Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years-experience in progressively responsible HR related positions including supervision and leadership.
•Knowledge of program management and individuals served preferred.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook. Experience in Quickbooks preferred.
•Must be able to pass criminal background check
