Residential Direct Support - Turning Point, Inc - Merrimack Valley and North Shore

Turning Point, Inc., a nonprofit, human service organization is seeking caring residential staff to work in our residential group homes located in the North Shore and Merrimack Valley, MA. Our Direct Support team provides support to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults, as well as high functioning men with significant behavioral challenges in our group homes. In the Merrimack Valley we also support deaf and/or hard of hearing individuals. Use your sign language training or we will train you!

The Job: Assisting with community activities, transportation to various appointments, household chores, cooking, shopping, banking, and personal hygiene support (in some programs).

Qualifications: Clear verbal and written communication skills, a valid driver’s license, high school diploma and/or GED, basic money counting skills, and a desire to help make a difference for the individuals we support.

Candidates without experience are encouraged to apply! Education and/or training in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing or related fields, as well as military, corrections and/or police work experience would be ideal. Candidates with prior direct support experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges or related populations are always welcome to apply.
