The Arc of Greater Plymouth is seeking a Shared Living Provider who is interested in welcoming an adult with intellectual/ developmental disabilities into their life . As a care provider, you will explore opportunities for providing community integration through social and recreational activities that the person is interested in. It will be the provider’s responsibility to give individualized support to the person on a daily basis. The provider should be committed to supporting The Arc if Greater Plymouth’s mission to support a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities to belong, contribute and thrive.
Currently, we are seeking someone to provide support to a man in his early 40’s, living in Wareham, MA. Requirements include:
-Must be 21 years of age or older
-High school diploma or GED required
-Valid Driver’s license and own vehicle
-Ability to pass Cori check, RMV check, fingerprinting
-Ability to become CPR/1st Aid certified.
-Good verbal communication skills.
Preferred: experience with people with disabilities, knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports, and Safety Care Certification
