Clinical Social Worker LICSW/LMHC/LCSW - Kennedy Donovan Center - New Bedford

KDC Foster Care and Family Services has an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team providing support and building a partnership with individuals and families. This full-time position as a clinical social worker will collaborate with case managers, family partners and youth mentors along with supervisors and the program director to build that partnership with families. LCSW or LICSW required six months from date of hire. Eligible for a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus and reimbursement of licensing's fees.

Responsibilities:

- Function as a member of the Foster Care and Family Services management team

- Assess individual and family needs and strengths and develop treatment plans and goals in collaboration with social workers

- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans

- Monitor implementation of treatment plans including identifying progress toward goals and objectives and barriers to making progress

- Provide ongoing supports related to achievement of treatment plan goals and objectives

- Provide advocacy for children and families as needed

- Collaborate with internal/external resources and community providers

- Collaborate on intakes as requested

- Provide trainings to foster parents, birth families, and staff on topics related to the needs of the population including but not limited to, behavior modification, mental illness, and substance abuse

- Provide individual case consultation to children, youth, and families in all DCF programs

- Provide administrative back through the on-call system

- Participate in discharge planning and after care with contracted agencies

- Comply with all KDC, DCF and EEC policies and guidelines including documentation requirements

- Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned by program director

Required Skills:

- Extensive travel required within the New Bedford area

- Ability to sit of extended periods of time

- Ability to climb stairs
