Cape Abilities, Inc. seeks a full-time Development Officer that will work closely with the Director of Development and Vice President of Philanthropy & Engagement to successfully implement Cape Abilities’ fundraising, donor cultivation and stewardship program. The Development Officer will be expected to cultivate and manage relationships with existing donors at various levels of giving, as well as identifying new prospects. The candidate will possess proven fundraising experience, a thorough knowledge of gift options and an ability to clearly communicate the mission of Cape Abilities. Relationship fundraising approach is required from the close of the gift and beyond.
Bachelor’s Degree required.Five years of fundraising experience. Knowledge and experience in fundraising best practices and regulations. Demonstrated success in managing complex projects, while consistently meeting goals. Availability for evening and weekend work for events and donor contacts. Valid driver’s license in the state of Massachusetts.
