Family Support Coordinator - Brockton Area Arc - Brockton, MA

Brockton Area Arc is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Family Support Coordinator. This position will identify family support resources; cultivate and coordinate related partnerships; manage data and needs assessments; and provide information, resources and coordination to support Brockton Area Arc’s network of family partners to meet the resource and referral needs of families attending Brockton Area Arc programs.

The qualified candidate for this role must have excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal, and be able to maintain a flexible work schedule including some evening and weekend work to accommodate the needs of families. They must be willing and able to meet with program participants where most convenient to them, such as BAArc office, their home or other venue.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience and/or training in working with individuals with
  • developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver license
  • Computer literate, preferable in Microsoft Office for documentation and strong data entry skills.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot computer issues and have ability to learn and comprehend new computer programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly detail-oriented with the capacity to work independently and prioritize. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the empowerment of families. Knowledge of the Massachusetts state system of service delivery to individuals with disabilities and knowledge of existing area resources and communities preferred.
