HR Coordinator - The Arc of Greater Brockton - Brockton, MA

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for implementing programs and procedures that improve upon the employee experience. The Human Resource Coordinator will support functional HR areas across the employee lifecycle from recruitment/onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, and compliance. On a day-to-day basis, this position entails partnering with the Executive Director to implement personnel policies and procedures, provide high-quality advice and support to management and staff on employee relations and performance management issues, implement programs to help improve the employee experience and work closely as part of the Administration Department concerning items related to payroll, benefits, HRIS, and staffing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure and safeguard The Arc of Greater Brockton consumers' human dignity, rights, and liberties.
  • Perform administrative duties for all functional areas of HR.
  • Process weekly payroll.
  • Safeguard confidential and time-sensitive material.
  • Maintain and update HRIS, employee records, medical files, I-9, COBRA, WC, etc.
  • Collaborate with Executive Director and hiring managers to assist with hiring activities including job postings, scheduling interviews, and hiring activities.
  • Work in partnership with hiring managers to provide onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Prepare routine and innovative communication pieces for internal and external marketing communication (newsletters and press releases).
  • Comply with all safety regulations and report any hazards, injuries, or violations immediately.
  • Attend and participate in employee meetings, training, and development.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Executive Director.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years’ professional Human Resources and Payroll experience is required.
  • Experience with not-for-profit organizations and/or health and human services organizations is desired, but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented; accurate reporting and data processing.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • A satisfactory background check, including CORI, is required.
