The Western Massachusetts Training Consortium’s Home and Community Connections program is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team, providing supports in Ludlow, MA. This is a residential management position supporting people in our 24 Hour Supports Model.
This position involves a combination of supervision, administrative, direct care and on-call responsibilities. The Program Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations of residential supports to assigned individuals. The Program Manager plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates direct services to individuals and is responsible for the safety and well-being of the individuals supported.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent organizational and leadership skills, teaching and instructional ability, good communication skills, patience, ability to work under time/demand pressure, flexibility, and willingness to accept high levels of responsibility.
HOURS: Full time, salaried (exempt) position including on-call, evening, and direct care responsibilities.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Undergraduate degree in related field preferred - direct care and administrative experience may be substituted for education requirement.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of two years’ experience in direct care to persons with developmental disabilities or related field. Supervision experience preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation is required. Three years positive driving history is required to drive people supported. Ability to safely transport individuals supported is essential. A basic competency in computer skills which include navigating Windows based programs and the internet. There are various training requirements however trainings will be provided as part of this position.
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS: Ability to safely lift 25 pounds is required.
