Regional Director - Cape Cod - Kennedy-Donovan Center - West Yarmouth, MA

As a member of the agency’s management team, the Cape Cod & Nantucket Regional Director will provide leadership, supervision, and daily management of all assigned programs utilizing a team-based, multi-disciplinary approach in accordance with the Kennedy Donovan Center (“KDC”) philosophy, mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development, supervision, and management of all services and supports provided in the Supervised Living, Supported Living (group home), Individual Supports, Family Support, Shared Living, and Adult Family Care Programs and Grant Programs
  • Responsible for programmatic growth and start-up activities in accordance with KDC’s strategic plan
  • Promote and implement funding source and KDC’s vision of home and home life
  • Maintain program compliance with all applicable state funding agencies and certification regulations and requirements, as well as quality service standards
  • Maintain program compliance with KDC mission, philosophy, standards, policies and procedures
  • Oversee personnel activities, including hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of program employees and consultants through supervisory staff with Human Resources
  • Facilitate staff and team supervisory meetings
  • Manage and promote on-going collaborative relationships with funding sources and community service providers
  • Manage on-going relationships with area directors of DDS and other funding sources to ensure positive interactions with KDC
  • Facilitate a team based approach to program supports and services
  • Coordinate efforts related to state and federal licensing and certifications as required
  • Participate, in coordination with other KDC Directors, as a member of the mid-management team (MMM) to provide input on policies, strategy, and other activities which contribute to the overall success of the Agency
  • Complete all required program reports, maintain statistical information and data, and monitor program budgets on a monthly basis
  • Represent KDC with professionalism at agency functions, legislative and industry events
  • Coordinate and participate in community outreach, fundraising, and education activities on behalf of KDC
  • Other responsibilities as requested by the CEO

Other Requirements:

  • Will be required to receive and make work-related phone calls during non-standard business hours
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including on-call coverage
  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals in English
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Human Services related field or equivalent experience required, Masters Degree preferred
  • 5 years experience with adults with developmental disabilities and their families
  • 5-7 years proven administrative and/or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Program development experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, administrative and managerial and communication skills
  • Must maintain all required certifications and licenses in a current status
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills with a proven history of good judgment
  • Must be self-directed, able to set priorities and work without direct supervision
