Residential House Manager - Kennedy-Donovan Center, Inc. - Framingham, MA

Supervise and facilitate the provision of home-based supports and community resources for individuals with developmental disabilities, utilizing a team-based approach. Promote individual growth in the areas of choice and decision-making, community membership, relationships and personal accomplishments. This position is slated to work from 7am-3pm, Sunday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Saturday

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily management of program residence
  • Participate in regular staff meetings as well as individual supervision
  • Provide case management for clients including but not limited to scheduling of and transporting to appointments, banking and upkeep of financial transaction records, progress notes and team communication
  • Provide supervision to assigned staff
  • Support and assist individuals attain their personal objectives according to their ISP related to community membership
  • Encourage individuals to develop and maintain lasting relationships with others
  • Assist in development of Individual Support Plan
  • Provide required assistance or modeling with any personal care routines as needed
  • Complete and maintain documentation as required
  • Assist individual(s) in maintaining their home(s) in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner
  • Ensure the legal, civil, and human rights of individuals supported
  • Ensure individuals are treated with respect and dignity at all times, and maintain confidentiality regarding their records and other information
  • Provide emergency beeper coverage during non-office hours as assigned
  • Maintain compliance with all Kennedy-Donovan Center policies and procedures, DMR regulations, requirements and quality service standards
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to community based supports for individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Able to meet required certification for First Aid, CPR and Medication Administration
  • Able to meet required competency level in Microsoft Office Software
  • Moderate travel required
  • Operation of specialized and adaptive equipment
  • Frequent movement included but not limited to bending, sitting, lifting and carrying
