ADDP’s LEAD! 2026 Conference brought together more than 500 attendees and 39 exhibitors for a dynamic and inspiring day focused on “Tools, Talent and Tomorrow.” The energy throughout the event reflected the commitment, innovation, and leadership that continue to drive the human services sector forward.
The day opened with a powerful keynote presentation from Adam Markel, “Change Proof: Leveraging the Power of Resilience,” which set an energizing tone for the conference and challenged attendees to embrace resilience as a critical leadership tool during times of change and uncertainty.
Throughout the day, attendees participated in engaging breakout sessions covering a wide range of timely topics, including Artificial Intelligence, Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS), Burnout & Belonging, workforce development, leadership, and emerging trends shaping the future of services and supports.
A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the ADDP Legacy of Leadership Award to Katherine Clark, House Minority Whip and U.S. Representative for Massachusetts’ 5th District, in recognition of her longstanding leadership and commitment to advancing disability services and supports.
The conference concluded with an informative and thoughtful panel discussion featuring Sarah Peterson, Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, alongside members of her leadership team, who shared insights on priorities, challenges, and opportunities facing the field.
