Vice President of Human Resources - Nonotuck Resource Associates - Northampton, MA

Full-time, exempt, salaried. Supervised by Nonotuck President & CEO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field
  • Five years’ managerial and supervisor experience in human resources management.
  • Advanced knowledge of human resource functions including employee relations, recruitment, learning and development
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of industry best practices
  • Ability to negotiate and mediate conflict; liaison with agency labor counsel
  • Ability to identify, organize and allocate resources.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner
  • Willingness to perform other duties as required
  • Preferred: SPHR designation

  • Orientation – provide orientation to new employees
  • Supervision – supervises one full-time Administrative Assistant; the AA works with and supports all departments in the Northampton office as well as statewide offices

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. This position is based in Northampton, MA; Nonotuck has offices statewide and travel to these offices is an essential part of the job.
