Overview
This year, COVID-19 forced many nonprofits to reevaluate numerous aspects of their operations to identify and analyze new risks they were facing and quickly adapt to ensure their employees and clients were safe. Particularly during the earlier months, recommended safety measures and state guidelines rapidly changed, often causing confusion and challenges to stay current. Where possible, work shifted remotely for the first time for many, and hard decisions were made regarding layoffs and furloughs. All this and more were done without past pandemic experiences to pull from and often fast with reduced staff. As the pandemic continues to surge, challenges are still faced allowing little time to revisit decisions made or policies and procedures changed to ensure they are in the best interest of the business, employees, and clients – as well as legally compliant. Join us to discuss how these actions in response to COVID-19 are impacting claims, pricing, and coverage availability for nonprofit Directors & Officers (D&o) and Employment Practices Liability (EPL) Insurance.
